A fire outbreak has gutted a building close to the Turkish house-a student’s apartment located along kasuwan dare road samaru, zaria at about 8 pm on Tuesday , the 14th of September 2021.
This incident has led to a massive destruction of properties worth thousands and is said by the residents to be caused by a lighted candle from one of the rooms on the second floor of the building .
The fire started in one flat of the building spreading to the second flat on the same floor, destroying properties and leaving one of the residents injured. However the quick intervention of the fire service and kindhearted neighbors reduced the intensity of the damage.
The owner of the building, Engineer Ibrahim in an interview reveals in dismay that the building he had inherited contains five flats and six shops. He says ‘things could have been worse although the victim who sustained an injury is currently undergoing medical care’.
‘To the victims of this unfortunate incident, I will provide shelter for them pending when they can be able to provide that for themselves’ he promised .
He added that the destruction had already been caused but there are plans of renovating the affected building.
However, there is still doubt on whether the incident is caused by a lighted candle or not.
My God!!! This is scary ! But then how can it be that the fire started with a mare candle it sounds very unbelievable
